Men's Early Valentine Party
Men's Early Valentine Party
By David Rogers. January 18, 2012. BLOWING ROCK -- It is never too early to start thinking about something special for the Valentine in your life, and Karyn Herterich of Serves You Right! in downtown Blowing Rock may have just the solution. Her gift shop is hosting its 10th Annual "Men's Valentine Party" on Thursday evening, January 19, 2012, from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Food and beverages are provided.
Herterich's shop, Serves You Right!, is located on Main Street in the Southemark shopping center, across from Glidewell's Restaurant. In a Wednesday interview with Blowing Rock News, Herterich said, "We will have an open bar and great food. We're getting pretty good at throwing these parties -- just ask the many men in town about them!
"Sure, we would love to help you find something special for your loved one, but there is no pressure to buy," Herterich noted. We just want guys to come and have some fun with their friends and maybe make some new ones. It is a great chance to network, so they should bring plenty of business cards.
"I just returned from one of the largest Gift Market events in the USA. It was in Atlanta," she concluded. "The wide demographics and data at the close of the show suggest that this was the strongest market from a sales perspective since 2008. There were more than 100,000 buyers from all over the country, looking at gifts, apparel and accessories. And they were in Georgia for eight full days, showing stuff and buying stuff. Optmism about economic recovery was running pretty high.
"So I hope a lot of guys will come and enjoy our HUGE amount of food: crab cakes, mini Cuban sandwiches, Lobster Mac & Cheese, Asian Meatballs, Roast Beef & Horseradish Cheddar Sandwiches, with carmelized onions, etc. No sissy food will be served!"
If you have a chance to call and tell us that you are coming, great! The number is 828-295-4438.
