SNAPSHOT: Ragged Gardens/Maple Lodge Hosts Business After Hours

By David Rogers. May 16, 2012. BLOWING ROCK -- An estimated 80 area business owners and managers got tours of the newly remodeled Maple Lodge guest rooms and meeting facilities, now owned and affiliated with Inn at Ragged Gardens on Sunset Drive, in Blowing Rock.

Business After Hours, the monthly networking event series organized by the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce, was the "excuse" for tours, as Ragged Gardens owners Rob Dyer and Lisa Stripling opened their doors as host of the May event.

One participant said after returning from the tours, "I have lived in Blowing Rock for more than 15 years and had never before set foot in Maple Lodge, so I am happy for this opportuntiy.  I was pretty sure that with it becoming a part of the Ragged Gardens organization Lisa and Rob would do everything first rate, but they have outdone themselves with a truly terrific job of restoring and refurbishing this historic Blowing Rock landmark."

Blowing Rock News visited briefly with Stripling towards the end of the networking event, as she was cleaning up in the kitchen, asking, "Are you pretty much done with all of the remodeling and stuff?"  Smiling, she simply answered, "Yep. All done!"
