Staff Report. November 4, 2011. BOONE – Kevin Ward has been named Watauga/Avery heating fuels manager for the Watauga-based office of Blue Ridge Energies, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation offering propane and heating fuels to residential, commercial, and industrial customers.

Blue Ridge Energies also maintains a showroom inside the Blue Ridge Electric office in Watauga County featuring gas logs, fireplaces, stoves, water heaters, and generators.

In his position with Blue Ridge Energies, Ward will be responsible for operations, customer service, and business development. He will oversee the staff providing delivery of heating fuels and propane as well as installation of showroom hearth appliances, generators and water heaters available from Blue Ridge Energies.

Ward joined Blue Ridge Energies in 2010 as a Service Specialist at the Watauga Energies office.  Prior to joining Blue Ridge, he worked in his family business at Mountaineer Electric as an office manager, project manager, and held responsibilities for accounts receivable, inventory management and customer service estimates. He is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a degree in Business Management.

Ward and his wife Jamie and children reside in the Vilas area of Watauga County.
