Staff Report. February 14, 2012. BOONE -- Watauga County Crimestoppers and Boone Police seek the public’s assistance in solving the following crime:

At approximately 2:30 a.m. on Saturday February 11, two women were seriously assaulted in the parking lot of the Brown Heights Apartments off the Highway 105 extension in Boone.

Just prior to the assault, the two female victims were with friends in a vehicle at the Cook Out restaurant on Blowing Rock Road.  An unknown male verbally accosted the women from a vehicle in an adjoining drive through lane, and then followed the victims as they left the restaurant and drove to the Brown Heights Apartment complex.  Once there, the suspect attacked the women, inflicting injuries that required treatment at Watauga Medical Center.  The victims were treated and released.

The suspect was described as a black male with dreadlocks wearing a white t-shirt.  He left the scene of the attack in a dark colored Honda driven by a white female.
