FLASH ALERT: Wofford (M) 66, Appalachian State 64

BOONE -- Down by as much as 15 points with 14 minutes to play, Appalachian erased a ten-point deficit in the last six minutes to pull within one, but it was not quite enough as the Mountaineers fell to the Wofford Terriers, 66-64, in front of 2,077 at the Holmes Convocation Center.

Three Mountaineers were in double figures, led by freshman guard Mike Neal (15), with contributions from fellow frosh Tab Hamilton III (11) and senior Andre Williamson (10). Williamson also hauled in six rebounds, Neal had three assists and Hamilton, pilfered four steals to lead the Mountaineers statistically.

Wofford's senior guard Brad Loesing led the Terriers with 16 points (game high) in 38 minutes of playing time.  Senior guard Drew Crowell cleaned the glass for a game-high nine rebounds to aid the visitors' cause.
